UPCOMING EVENTS

The 2010 Annual Pico Fly-In (September)

Thursday 16, Friday 17 , Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 of September 2010, so mark it on your calendar,
an event not to be missed!

The Biggest, The Best, The Greatest Fly-in EVER…again, in the centre of the universe.
Milbrulong, Southern NSW, Down Under, where the canola grows like sunflowers, the sheep are fat as pigs and
the Milbrulong women cook up the BEST meals in the southern hemisphere

The Thirteenth Annual National Picolight Fly-In ( 2010 )

The Annual National Picolight Fly-in will be held at Milbrulong 16-19 September.
It is organised by The Pico club inc. as a HGFA event.

If you have been before it is pretty much the same as last year (except a new paddock)
If you have not been before this is for you. Camping is the go.
There is a large area of grass on a football ground that is well sheltered.
There are showers, toilets, gas BBQ and a hall. The water is good for drinking.
It costs $5 per person per night. This money all goes to the upkeep of the facilities we use for camping,
is our contribution to the community, and helps assure our welcome.
The alternative is the Lockhart Motel 0269205357 (Tell Penny that Jeff sent you).
Costs $70-80 double $60 single. The caravan park is another option, contact Rachael Ford
0458 205303 mail@lockhart.nsw.gov.au
The paddock for flying is about 3 k from the camp.
The paddock is 80 ha and will have short grass.
I It has a slight slopes so that we can get a downhill take-off, no matter what wind direction.
There are no restrictions on where you can fly, it is open farmland.
The camping facilities will be available from around mid-day Thursday. There will be no flying Monday, the show has to be cleaned up before anybody leaves on Monday.
Anybody leaving before Monday morning is requested to clean up as much as possible so it is not left to a few on Monday.

Milbrulong is about 5 hours from Melbourne and 7 from Sydney and about 12 from Adelaide.
It is about 50 k west of Wagga Wagga in southern NSW and about 10 k from Lockhart.
There are no shops, petrol stations or pubs at Milbrulong so plan to bring what you want or drive to Lockhart.
If bringing petrol is a problem it can be supplied in 20 lit. containers (that you can keep), at cost of
the petrol if you contact Jeff before hand.

The fly-in will not be cancelled no matter what the weather, but the objective is to fly ourselves silly.
If we can not fly we will talk and test things (a thrust test bench will be available).
A pilot safety briefing will be held each evening and the club AGM will be held Saturday lunch time
There will be dinner provided on Saturday and it is expected that you will be attending
( cost is $25.00 for a 3 course meal).

It is all flexible except the finish time.
It will not be allowed to drag on because we have other commitments and everybody must be involved in the cleaning up
because there is nobody else.
We are open to any and all suggestions and look forward to seeing you all.
There will be more information as we go along, but pin this note on the fridge!

Further information can be obtained from Jeff Hoffmann 02 69206233 0429206233 and Jos Weemaes 02 60265658
